Egg Geoda Botroidal Chalcedonia in Agat, size: 20 x 15 cm
This spectacular geode brings together two wonders of nature: the smooth exterior of translucent agate, with shades of white and caramelous veins, and its amazing interior, covered with Botroidal formations of chalcedonia. The inner surface seems modeled by the hand of time, with rounded, fine structures, which seem to flow organically like stone bunches.
The stone was formed by slow geological processes, during tens or hundreds of thousands of years, when the dissolved silica began to be deposited in the empty cavities of the volcanic rocks. The Agat layers have accumulated in concentric waves, followed by chalcedonia that crystallized in a Botoid form-a slow dance of the minerals in the depths of the earth.
