Natural specimen of raw fossil amber, sourced from the region of Sumatra, Indonesia – one of the few active sources of amber in Southeast Asia. This tropical area is known for its soils rich in organic sediments and intense geological activity, ideal conditions for the formation of amber.
Amber was formed by the drainage of resin from tropical trees and its accumulation in the soil, where it was gradually covered by successive layers of mud, clay and rock. Under the high pressure and temperature in the earth's crust, the resin slowly turned into a stable fossil material with a complex polymeric structure.
The presented piece is raw, unprocessed, with an irregular surface and natural shape. The color ranges from warm yellow to dark brown, and the texture is opaque, with slight translucent areas. It is ideal for collectors, geology enthusiasts, or for educational display.
