Kammererit is a rare natural stone, appreciated for its intense shades of purple, pink-violet and magenta. From a mineralogical point of view, kammererite is a chromium-rich variety of clinoch, also known as Chromium-bearing Clinochlore, chromium being responsible for its distinctive color. Outstanding specimens come from Turkey, especially from the Erzurum region, one of the classic provenances for this mineral.
