Amazonite is a variety of feldspar prized for its shades of blue-green, turquoise and pale green, often crossed by inclusions and lighter areas that give each piece a distinct look.

Amazonite is a variety of microclin, mineral from the feldspar group, with a hardness of approx 6–6.5 on the Mohs scale.
