Kunzitul is a variety of pink-lilac color of the spodumen mineral, with the chemical formula (Sio₃), part of the pyroxeni group. Its delicate color is given by the presence of manganese ions and can vary from pale pink to translucent purple. It has hardness 6.5–7 on the Mohs scale and has a glassy gloss, being sensitive to bright light, which can fade the shades over time. It is found especially in pegmatites, in regions such as Afghanistan, Madagascar, Brazil and the USA.
