Description - Palmstone Iolite (water sapphire) from Madagascar model 1
Size: 8 * 5.5 * 2.5 cm
Yolite, also known as "water sapphire" or "cordierite," is an alum-silicate mineral of magnesium and iron with a variety of unique and interesting properties. Its color varies from purple blue to pale blue, sometimes with shades of gray or green. It is transparent to translucent and has an eye-catching vitreous sheen. On the Mohs scale, iolite has a hardness of 7-7.5, being quite resistant to scratches.
One of the most remarkable features of iolite is its pronounced pleochroism, which means that it changes color when viewed from different angles. From one angle, it can look blue-purple, from another yellow-gray angle, and almost colorless from a third angle.
Iolite is considered a stone of inner vision and introspection, helping to develop mental clarity and intuition.
