Prehnite is a semi-precious stone of pale green or light green color, made of aluminum and calcium silicate, with small inclusions of other minerals. It was named after Colonel Hendrik Von Prehn, a Dutch mineralogist who first discovered this stone in South Africa in the 18th century.
