Colorless quartz, also known as rock crystal, is the transparent variety of quartz, prized for its clarity, glassy luster and natural crystallization forms.
It consists of silicon dioxide (SiO₂) and crystallizes in the trigonal system, frequently forming prismatic crystals with natural terminations. The transparency varies from perfectly clear to translucent, and inside they can appear veils, healed fractures, mineral inclusions and growth zones, formed naturally during crystal development.
