Crazy Lace Agate is a variety of chalcedony from the quartz group, formed by rhythmic deposits of silica in the cavities of volcanic rocks, which creates its distinct wavy bands. Its chemical composition is SiO₂ (silicon dioxide), and its varied colors (yellow, orange, red, white, and brown) are due to iron impurities and other minerals.
